frauziller • 1 yr. ago. Just call out on the day you need to have off, and put in the PPTO request afterward. It will be automatically approved as long as you put in the request AFTER you call out. You'll only need enough to cover your shift - if it's 9 hours with a lunch scheduled, you'll use 8 hours.
You can't even put in double pto/ppto, the max you can put in is 12 hours, so if someone is telling you otherwise it's not true. You only need to cover the number of hours you were supposed to work.
