I found it was a bit too high on the dipstick, which can cause shifting issues. I drained my trans and measured how much fluid came out (3.5 qts). Refilled with 3 qts and drove 20 mins. Rechecked and found fluid level to be just below max mark, added another 8 oz's to get level to max mark.
