Caribbean side of costa rica - The Caribbean coast is great for folks that love wildlife, rainforests and undeveloped beaches. There are really no resorts there, just small hotels and B&Bs. Few properties are beachfront although most are a short walk away. Swimming beaches are rare but surfing is good. Swimming pools and AC are not the norm.
